Arttera is a free tool for artists to find and apply to open calls and residencies. This page explains what data the web app, the Chrome extension, and the iOS/Android capture tools collect, and why.
When you create an artist profile, you give us information you choose to share — name, contact details, artist statement, education, and similar — to help you apply to opportunities faster. You can edit or remove any of it at any time from your profile page.
The extension reads the page you're on when you open it, so it can find application form fields to fill from your profile. It only writes into forms when you ask it to. It does not read pages in the background or send your browsing history anywhere.
When you capture an open call (via the extension, the iOS Shortcut, or a shared link) or ask Arttera to draft an application answer or email, the relevant page text and/or your own profile fields are sent to Anthropic's Claude model, via Vercel's AI Gateway, to extract structured details or draft the text. We don't use this to train any model, and we don't share it beyond what's needed to generate the result you asked for.
CVs and portfolio images you upload are stored in Vercel Blob under private access — there is no public URL for them. They are only ever fetched by our own server, on your behalf, when you use a feature that needs them (filling a form, building a press pack).
Deleting your account (via your account settings, or by asking us) permanently removes your profile, your uploaded files, and everything tied to your account — this happens automatically within our systems when your account is deleted.
