What Arttera is
One place for residencies and open calls, plus tools that make applying faster.
Arttera brings residencies and open calls into one list. It also gives you tools so you stop retyping the same biography into every application form.
What you get
- Discover. Residencies and open calls we have reviewed, filtered by type, discipline and funding.
- Registry. The calls you are tracking, with a status for each.
- Your sheet and your works. Your profile and portfolio, written once.
- Chrome extension. Fills application forms on other websites from your sheet.
- Phone capture. Share a call you spot on Instagram straight into your Registry.
Residency or open call
A residency is a host offering you time and space to work. An open call is an institution, prize, festival or gallery asking for submissions.
The shapes in the dashboard follow one rule: a circle is a residency, a triangle is an open call. Colour bands do the same job. Yellow is a residency, blue is an open call.
Who checks the listings
New listings are reviewed before they appear in Discover. When we find a mistake, we correct it or take the listing down.
