Apply by email

Some calls take applications by email. For those, Arttera opens a page that shows what the call needs and drafts the message.

When a call says to send your application by email, its page shows Prepare application instead of a plain Apply link, and the call's website moves to About this call. That includes year-round residencies that only have an information page and no form.

Steps

1. Open the call from your Registry and choose Prepare application.
2. Read What to send. It lists what the host asks for, such as work samples or an artist statement, and who supplies each item.
3. Write the message in The message, or use Draft with AI. The recipient is filled in from the call.
4. Under Your works, tap the works to include, in the order you want them.
5. Open the draft in Gmail, or in your Mail app with Open in Mail app.

In Gmail, the extension can attach the files for you. In the Mail app, you attach them yourself.

Your work as a PDF

When a call asks for photos of your work, Download my work as a PDF under What to send lets you choose the images. Every image from Your works starts ticked. Untick the ones this call should not see, use Select work to tick or untick a whole work, then press Build PDF. Each image gets one page, in the order shown. Nothing is generated.

Buttons on the call page

Under Before you apply, the items listed as "Arttera can produce this" each have a button. Get my statement shows the statement from Your sheet, ready to copy. Download my work as a PDF builds one page per image from Your works, all images, no picking. Download my CV gives you the CV you uploaded. If something is missing, the button tells you and links to where to add it.

One-page CV

If the call asks for a one-page CV, Arttera picks the lines of your own CV that matter most for that call. It selects. It does not write or rephrase anything.

Check before sending

The draft is a starting point written from your sheet and the call. Read it, adjust the tone and confirm the files. Nothing is sent until you press send.
